In March 2019, during the International Women’s Day celebration in Medellín, 10KA’s founder Diana Cañas received a municipal recognition for supporting women heads of household within the fashion industry. The award highlighted her commitment to creating opportunities for women to generate income, build financial independence and access work with dignity.

Before launching sneakers, fashion collections or digital concepts, 10KA began as a support system for women heads of household. We created a catalog so they could sell our shoes without buying inventory. Women earned profit from each sale, working from home, gaining independence with zero financial risk. What started as a product became a tool for economic empowerment.
